SAPS – Media Advisory

The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) together with the Gauteng Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (PROVJOINTS) led by Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni to deploy ten multidisciplinary airborne surveillance helicopters and drones that will monitor the National and Provincial elections in Gauteng on 29 May 2024.

The delegation will be joined by the Director General for Department of Justice and Constitutional Development as well as the Chief Executive Officer for PSIRA and ProvJOINTS Co-chairpersons from South African National Defence Force & State Security Agency to closely monitor the elections to ensure that Gauteng citizens cast their votes in a safe and secure environment.
